Op 14 juli, de dag voordat de G8-top begint in St. Petersburg de jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van de leiders van de 8 rijkste landen zal dit jaar van 15-17 juli in Rusland zijn. De drie hoofdthema's van de top zijn: energiezekerheid, onderwijs en AIDS/gezondheidszorg. We willen de straat op om de volgende eisen kracht bij te zetten: gratis gezondheidszorg voor iedereen, onderwijs voor iedereen, een einde aan het atoomtijdperk en een einde aan oorlog. Dit jaar wil het Russische "Netwerk tegen de G8" ook laten zien dat waar ze ook bijeenkomen, de G8 protest tegen hen zal aanschouwen. Voor degenen die niet in de gelegenheid zijn om naar Rusland te komen; de activisten aldaar stellen het bijzonder op prijs als ze ondersteund worden door mee te helpen met het verspreiden en uitvoeren van de oproep tot een internationale Mondiale Actiedag op de 14e juli in zoveel mogelijk plaatsen.
De macht van de elite gaat ver, maar onze solidariteit overstijgt alle grenzen!

Call to G8 Global Action Day!
14 July, the day before the beginning of the G8 Summit in St. Petersburg
This years meeting of the leaders of the worlds 8 richest countries will be
15-17 July, 2006, in Russia. The 3 main themes of the Summit are Energy
Security, Education, and Aids/Health Care. We want to get on the streets in
support of free Health Care for everyone, Education for All, an end to the
Atomic Age and and end to war. This year the Russian "Network Against the G8"
also wants to show that wherever they meet, the G8 will face protests against
them. For those that can't make it to Russia, activists there appreciate your
support by calling for an international Global Action day in the 14th of July
in as many cities as possible.
The power of the elites crosses many lines, but our solidarity goes beyond any
borders!
