Oproep: onderteken de verklaring tegen de bouw van ‘Gesloten Gezinsvoorziening’ op Kamp Zeist
In English: Call for signing the statement against the construction of the ‘Closed Family Facility’ at Kamp Zeist
Sinds enige tijd voeren we campagne tegen de bouw van een ‘Gesloten Gezinsvoorziening’ (GGV) op Kamp Zeist.
Het doel van de GGV is de opsluiting en uitzetting van vluchtelingengezinnen van wie de asielaanvraag is afgewezen. De nu nog tijdelijke en begin 2016 geplande permanente gezinsgevangenis bevindt zich binnen een hek en de muur van Kamp Zeist (ofwel: Detentiecentrum Soesterberg), voorzien van stroomdraad en camerabewaking. De GGV is dus een gevangenis en geen ‘voorziening’. De GGV is niet ‘humaan’ of ‘kindvriendelijk’.
In een artikel op de website van Doorbraak bleek eens te meer dat je kinderen niet voor de gek kunt houden door een gevangenis zonder cellen te bouwen. Een moeder, opgesloten in de GGV, vertelt:
“Ik zei tegen [mijn dochter] Nerona dat we in een mooi huis sliepen. Maar zij wees naar de hoge hekken. Ze wilde dat ze Pippi Langkous was, dan was ze sterk genoeg om die politiemannen op te sluiten en konden we naar oma.”
Wij roepen individuen en organisaties op de verklaring te ondertekenen. De verklaring is online hier te vinden.
De verklaring kan ondertekend worden door een mail te sturen naar info@aagu.nl o.v.v. “Ondertekening verklaring tegen bouw ‘Gesloten Gezinsvoorziening’ Kamp Zeist”. Zet er duidelijk bij wie of welke organisatie de verklaring ondertekent, en vermeld indien aanwezig de website of facebookpagina. Een aanvullende motivering voor de ondertekening is ook welkom, deze zullen wij dan op onze website opnemen. Voorts roepen we op deze oproep verder te verspreiden om zo meer organisaties te bereiken en om op jullie website of facebookpagina te laten weten dat jullie deze verklaring getekend hebben.

Call for signing the statement against the construction of the ‘Closed Family Facility’ at Kamp Zeist
For some time we have been campaigning against the construction of a ‘Closed Family Facility’ (GGV) at Kamp Zeist.
The purpose of the GGV is the incarceration and deportation of refugee families who had their asylum request rejected. The currently temporary and early 2016 planned permanent family prison is located behind a fence and the wall of Kamp Zeist (or: detention center Soesterberg), equipped with live wire and camera surveillance. The GGV is therefore a prison and not a ‘facility’.
The GGV is not ‘humane’ or ‘child-friendly.
An article on the website of Doorbraak once again showed that you cannot fool children by building a prison without cells. A mother, locked up in the GGV, tells:
“I told [my daughter] Nerona that we are sleeping in a nice house. But she pointed at the high fences. She wished she was Pippi Langkous (Pippi Longstocking), then she would be strong enough to lock up those policemen and we could go to grandma.”

Make it clear who or which organization is signing the statement, and mention a website or facebook page if present. An additional motivation for the signing is also welcome, we will then insert that on our website as well. In addition, we call for spreading this call further in order to reach more organizations and to make public on your website or facebook page that you have signed this statement.
